IIT Delhi Faculty and Scholar's Housing

Problem: To design an Institutional Housing for Faculty and Scholar's of IIT Delhi, to be housed in an extension campus. Housing is to be designed in the context of its relationship with surroundings and an inclusive housing complex with basic amenities like the commercial space, outdoor sitting and services.

Design Philosophy: 

• Minimum disturbance to existing natural elements like trees, water bodies and topography 
• Minimum paved surfaces as possible
• The inclusion of electric pod-vehicles for free movement within premises
• Compact housing blocks (Climate responsive buildings)
• Climate responsive site layout (Sunlight and Windflow)
• Energy efficient site planning and construction 
• On-site rainwater harvesting and Roof-top solar panels
